Mastering
The Chocolate Factory is a world class facility however we don't only work with major labels, global icons & household names, we are able to cater for small bands with development deals & private projects. We can tailor packages to suit your needs.
Mastering, in its simplest form, is the final essential process of creatively and technically enhancing and assembling the individual tracks of a recording project. Once complete, the music is transferred to the format required for its release medium and sent to manufacturing plants for duplication or distribution. Mastering is a highly specialized field requiring refined skills in discerning and manipulating the very finite spectrum of sound in its infinite characteristics and parameters.
Most mastering takes place in a major studio, recording your masterpiece can become an expensive affair. For artists recording at home or in low-rent studios, the cost of professional mastering has always been a stumbling block. A typical album session, with the client and the mix engineer in attendance, would take at least a day of the mastering engineer's time, and could set you back at least £1500, often substantially more. Add to that the extra costs and inconvenience of getting to the studio and it's easy to see why a lot of people either try to do their own mastering or simply don't bother.
Another major factor is that the budgets for artist development at record labels have been shrinking. We know that if you can present a completed product that requires little or no additional production costs, you will be a much more attractive candidate

A few words from one of our clients:
"The mastering of our most recent project the "Out and In" EP was excellent. Your dedication to the detail of the process followed from stunning high-quality results. Also the many working hours put into the project made all the difference. We are very pleased with the outcome and therefore Black&White Orange Records will use you exclusively for our mastering in the future. Many thanks to the Chocolate Factory team!"
